Description

The VWIC generation 3 T1/E1 multiflex trunk voice/wan interface cards are designed to provide additional interfaces for data and voice on Cisco’s Gen 2 ISRs, such as the CISCO2901-V/K9 and CISCO2921-CME-SRST/K9. By taking full use of the available PVDM modules on the ISRs, the VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1 can provide service to even highly demanding network applications, including integration with T1 DSU/CSU, packet voice applications including T1 and E1 connections to your PBX, and multiplexed data and voice scenarios.

The VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1 has only 1 port, but supports T1, E1, Data support WIC and Voice Support Vic functionality, as well as drop and insert multiplexing. The VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1 does not, however, support Unstructured E1 (G.703) – which would require a VWIC3-1MFT-G703 or VWIC3-2MFT-G703. Should Additional VWIC3 interface cards in this family include the 2 port VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1 and the 4 port VWIC3-4MFT-T1/E1.
