WS-C3850-12XS-S Stackable 10G Switch
Cisco’s WS-C3850-12XS-S switch provides 12 10G SFP+ ports in a 1RU form factor. With the addition of a C3850-NM-4-10G, this switch can be expanded to support 16 SFP+ ports. As an SFP+ port can support both 10G and 1G transceivers, this switch allows the integration of a variety of device types of varying speeds. The stacking support of the 3850 line provides 480 Gbps of internal stack bandwidth. This allows stacking between 10G switches like the WS-C3850-12XS-S and 1G copper switches, eliminating the bottlenecks associated with single trunk ports.
In addition to the 10G ports and stacking support, the 3850 series switches also have a built in wireless controller, providing support for up to 100 access points. This can eliminate the need for additional hardware such as AIR-CT when deploying a campus network. Stacking 3850 switches increases the overall number of access points supported by the stack, making this a highly scalable solution.

The switch is then sold to P3 systems or other excess customers, where we test and inspect the unit again for QA purposes.
