Cisco ASA5585-S10-K9

The Cisco ASA 5585 is a dual-blade-capable chassis with a firewall blade that provides eight times more performance density than the competition. The second slot can be filled with a dedicated Cisco Intrusion Prevention System, Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services, or another firewall module, making the 5585 an ideal platform for situations where scalability is a primary concern. In addition, the clustering capabilities of the firewall module allows up to 16 similar devices to provide a combined 100 million concurrent connections, at a rate of 2 million new connections per second and a throughput of up to 640Gbps.

An extremely efficient device, the ASA 5585 performs on just 785 watts and fills just 2RU- over 85% smaller space and power requirements than most competitive firewalls. ?Licensing for up to 100 security contexts is available, meaning security and administration can be tailored to a wide variety of independent departments in the users’ network, reducing the need for new infrastructure and management.

The ?S10-K9 bundle includes 5000 IPsec VPN peers, 2 Premium VPN peers, and a 3DES/AES encryption license. Physical interfaces include 8 Gigabit Ethernet, 2 Gigabit Ethernet SFP, and 2 Gigabit Ethernet management ports.
