All 2960X switches are stackable, allowing up to 8 switches to form a single unit with up to 80 Gbps of stack throughput. This is exceptionally useful in high density networks with large amounts of internal communication and data transfer, such as expansive wireless networks, companies that do internal video conferencing, or resource intensive hosted applications.? Stacking is an optional add on that requires a flex stack module and a FlexStack-Plus stacking cable, which are available upon request.
