The Cisco 2504-5-K9 Wireless Controller enables wireless functionality for small to medium-sized locations with support for up to 5 access points. Simple to set up and deploy, the Cisco 2504 supports up to 1-Gbps throughput with comprehensive features ranging from security to video performance to environmental responsibility. Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) ensures full-line-rate encryption between controllers and access points; rogue access point and DDoS detection are natively supported, and the management frame protection can alert administrators to malicious user activity.
Scalable up to 75 access points, the 2504 series controllers support WLC Platform version 7.0.x and later – making them compatible with the majority of Cisco controller based APs. A list of other 2504 bundles and a sampling of compatible APs is available below, however this list may not be all-inclusive.
