About the Cisco ASR1001-HX Router
The Cisco ASR 1001 HX router (P/N: ASR1001-HX) is one of the most powerful service routers available from Cisco. This 1 RU ASR 1000 HX series router provides up to 60Gbps of bandwidth across a number of possible interface configurations. Specifically, the ASR1001-HX comes with four 10GE and eight 1GE fixed ports, as well as four configurable 10G and 1G ports. In addition to the port flexibility, the Cisco ASR 1001 HX can also be upgraded with a crypto module providing up to 29 Gb of bandwidth.
Images of the front and rear of this device are below, showing the ASR 1000 HX interface layout and port density. Although they are not shown the images of the ASR below, DC power supply options are also available.
The ASR 1001-HX Router has the same software redundancy capabilities as the other Cisco ASR1000 series routers in this family, like the ASR 1001-X, ASR 1002-X and ASR1002-HX platforms. These software redundancy features do not require redundant hardware, making them ideal for managed service providers and aggregation applications.
