The Cisco 3750 series switches are a time tested and extremely popular line of Fast and Gigabit Ethernet switches. These resilient layer 3 switches come equipped with Cisco StackWise technology, which allows for the creation of a 32-Gbps unified switching system of up to nine Cisco 3750 switches. With QOS, IPv6 Routing, and advanced layer 3 features such as OSFP, EIGRP and BGP available on all hardware models, the 3750 has proven itself to be a cost effective, feature rich, highly scalable platform for almost any switching application.
The WS-C3750-24PS-S switch is one of the most versatile Fast Ethernet PoE switches available. Providing 15.4W per port of either 802.3af or Cisco pre-standard PoE, the WS-C3750-24PS-S is capable of powering a wide range of phones, access points, and IP Cameras, allowing administrators to mix and match equipment without worrying about PoE compatibility. The IPBase image included with the WS-C3750-24PS-S provides basic RIP, EIGRP Stub, and static routing, as well as standard Cisco switching features such as advanced QoS, ACLs, and rate limiting. For networking scenarios that require advanced IP routing protocols, advanced IP Unicast and Multicast routing, and other enterprise features, Cisco offers the WS-C3750-24PS-E – A software upgrade to the WS-C3750-24PS-S which replaces the Cisco IP Base image with the more advanced IP Services image.
